Hughes hits game winning shot; Rose spectacular in Utah

It was a quick two hour flight from Salt Lakle City to San Antonio. It's always a bit faster after a win. Check out my recap below:

Larry Hughes eighteen footer from the left wing as time expired bailed out a potential devestating loss to an undermanned Jazz team. The Bulls will take it—thank you very much—regardless of the depleted Utah roster. In this league no one feels sorry for anyone. It's pro ball. No excuses. You deal with the hand you've been dealt and play ball.

Derrick Rose was sensational. He scored 25 points, dished out nine assists and played with supreme confidence. Notice I said "confidence" not arrogance. The rook has the "it" factor.

The Bulls will practice today then prepare for a Spurs team that won on the road at Memphis. The Spurs welcomed the return of Manu Ginobili and proved why defense wins championships. They have held opponents to 91 points or less in seven of their last eight games.

Orlando won its tenth game of the season beating a banged up Bucks team that lost Andrew Bogut to a bruised knee. Dwight Howard went 10 for 20 from the foul line.

Chris Paul is flat out sick. A triple double in the Hornets win over the Clippers. The Randolph to LAC trade is on hold until Cutino Mobley passes his physical. There's concern about a heart issue. The Clippers are an NBA worst 1-8 at home. Eric Gordon had 25 points.

Too much Yao for the 7-7 Heat. Nice game for Mario Chalmers.

Greg Oden started for the Blazers scoring only three points. Brandon Roy to the rescue as the Blazers edged the KIngs.

D. J. Augustin had a monster game. The rook out of Texas scored 25 points-dished out 11 assists in the Bobcats win over Philly.

Still trying to figure out the logic behind the Wizards firing Eddie Jordan.
